Peter
Jansen
Peter is
KASA's Environmental Manager and has over seventeen years of
environmental experience within the private and regulatory sectors of
Western Australia. Peter’s roles over his career have included within
the former WA Department of Environmental Protection’s Audit Branch,
Hamersley Iron, Viceroy’s Bounty Gold Mine, Industrial Development
Branch at ATA Environmental and ENVIRON.
Peter’s
expertise lies in environmental impact assessment and approvals,
development of environmental plans and monitoring programs,
preparation of environmental reports for industry, Environmental
Management Systems and development of environmental training modules
Prior to joining KASA Consulting, Peter was the Environmental
Approvals Manager for the Griffin Group based in Perth and primarily
responsible for managing the environmental approvals process for a
major coal mine expansion in Collie.
Tyrone Smith
Tyrone leads KASA Consulting’s HSE Monitoring and Equipment Supply
Division. He has 20 years experience in the environmental monitoring
field both in the Western Australia and the UK. Tyrone’s experience
includes Business Development Manager for a WA based scientific
equipment supplier, Environmental Consultant at Parsons Brickerhoff
and Director of a private environmental health laboratory in the
United Kingdom where he assisted major organisations with
environmental monitoring including, Virgin, Heathrow Airport, Tate
Modern Gallery, WSPA, Charing Cross Hospital, Kings College London, UK
Ministry of Defense.Colm Harkin
Colm has worked extensively within the UK, Europe and the North
America in a variety of roles with a regulatory compliance and
management systems focus.
The development and management of Environmental and Integrated
(E/HS/Q) Management Systems has formed a key part of his experience
and skills. Substantial
experience in industrial licensing, regulatory liaison and project
management has allowed Colm to develop a broad range of key skills
that are transferrable across a wide range of global industries. Colm
has consulted to
and audited projects for clients including BHPB, BMA, Rio Tinto Iron
Ore, Gorgon and Alcan.
Colm is a Lead auditor under the RABQSA Auditor accreditation scheme.
Kiri Walker
Kiri has extensive experience working in the field of Environmental
Management within both private and government sectors.
She is a Chartered Environmentalist and has worked in the
environmental sector in both the UK and Western Australia.
Her qualifications include a MSc in Environmental Management.
Kiri worked for the Scottish
Environment Protection Agency in the UK as Senior Environment Officer,
managing projects, coordinating the work of scientists and regulators
and undertaking environmental reporting responsibilities to Government
Ministers. She has
successfully prepared environmental and strategic management plans,
undertaken environmental impact assessments/approvals and developed
environmental training programmes, for government, industry and the
private sector.
