During the detailed design phases of Projects approved for implementation, or even following commissioning and during operations, there is potential for ongoing modifications or improvements to the original Project design.  Where these modifications result in a change to the nature or significance of potential environmental impacts assessed as part of original environmental approvals, KASA Consulting assists our clients attain required approvals to execute these Project changes.  KASA Consulting can advise on applicable approvals processes which are dependent on the proposed change, and the form the original approval was granted.  Key services that KASA Consulting provides include:

·         Provision of strategic advice on proposed changes and specific approvals required.  This may include the completion of a risk assessment of the environmental impacts of the proposed change;

·         Preparation of amendment requests to the office of the EPA under either Section 45 or Section 46 of the WA Environmental Protection Act, 1986 as applicable;

·         Preparation of submissions (Application Enquiry Forms) requesting changes to Works approvals or licensing amendments under Part V of the WA Environmental Protection Act, 1986;

·         Represent clients at Project Scoping Meetings with the DEC;

·         Ongoing regulator liaison to ensure that the required information is provided and timelines are being tracked;

·         Development and implementation of any stakeholder engagement that may be warranted and commensurate with the nature and scale of the proposed change.
