Nick Croston 

As the Managing Director of KASA Consulting Nick has built a dynamic and respected team that consistently provide innovative and pragmatic HSE solutions to numerous commercial and government clients. Nick has over 20 years’ experience in the field of Environmental, OHS and Quality Management both within Australia and internationally and has successfully delivered projects for numerous organisations; including, BHP Billiton Iron Ore; BHP Billiton Manganese (GEMCO and TEMCO); Worsley Alumina; BMA Coal; Rio Tinto; PanAust, Straits Resources, Alcoa; Chevron Texaco, Woodside and Newmont.

Nick was formerly Western Australian ISO 14001 Program Manager with SAI Global and is a RABQSA Registered Lead Environmental and Quality Management Auditor. His qualifications also include a BSc Honours degree in Environmental and Resource Science from Kingston University and an MPhil in Environmental Chemistry from Imperial College, London.

Peter Jansen

Peter joined KASA Consulting in 2010 and is an Associate Director at KASA Consulting. Peter established and leads the company’s Environmental Approvals Division as well as the Contaminated Land Group comprising of personnel with varied and extensive experience in their respective fields.

Peter’s 20 years of environmental experience is drawn from senior roles with the private and regulatory sectors of Western Australia. Peter’s area of expertise lies in the provision of strategic environmental advice for KASA’s mining and industrial client base, conduct of environmental impact assessments under State and federal auspices, permitting and approvals, compliance auditing, development and review of environmental plans and monitoring programs, preparation of annual compliance reports, NPI and NGERS, EMS development and contract specifications.

Peter’s roles over his career have been within the former WA Department of Environmental Protection’s Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit Branches as well as in the Department’s Pilbara regional offices, Rio Tinto/Hamersley Iron, Viceroy’s Bounty Gold Mine, The Griffin Group and selected consultancies prior to KASA.

Peter has managed projects of varying scales, issues and impacts, with combined asset values of over AUD $1 Billion. Peter maintains a firm commitment to all of his clients to deliver the highest level of support in a timely, practical and cost effective manner, whilst still ensuring all clients receive a personalised service from Peter and all of the Project team from KASA Consulting.

Paul Richards

Paul is an experienced project manager who has been involved in multi-faceted projects and has been directly responsible for all aspects of stakeholder engagement, contractor management and project delivery. He has worked across a range of projects and industry sectors and has experience establishing and implementing systems and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards. Since joining KASA, Paul has developed group-wide environmental management processes for (BHPB Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) developed operational standards for Phu Bia Mining, developed environmental management plans and programmes and has extensive experience conducting internal audits for a range of clients. Paul is a qualified environmental and OHS auditor.

Jacques Couronne

Jacques is a our Instrument Technician and is responsible for the day to day service, calibration and maintenance of our equipment. As a qualified electrician Jacques has extensive knowledge in electronics and installation/maintenance of the various remote monitoring equipment we supply; for example dust monitors, weather stations and other solar powered telemetry devices. Jacques also manages KASA’s equipment repair service and can, where possible, retrofit equipment to specific project requirements. Jacques has been part of the team since 2012.

Geoff Diver

Geoff is a recognised expert in the fields of water & energy management and has worked in the field of urban sustainability for nearly 20 years. In that time Geoff has consulted to three tiers of government, and the private sector. He has worked across Australia and overseas. Geoff holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in sustainability and lectures at both Curtin and Murdoch Universities. He has sat on a number of state and commonwealth natural resource management committees and scientific advisory groups. Geoff has had been intimately associated with the State’s Waterwise program for many years, including development of water efficiency programs, numerous water efficiency audits and studies, and development and delivery of Waterwise training programs.

Jessica Hill

Jessica has worked as an Environmental Practitioner for over 5 years, with experience in the public and private sectors. Her qualifications include a Masters of Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Environmental Studies. Jessica has significant experience in quality assurance, environmental approvals and permitting under Part V of the Australian Commonwealth Environmental Protection Act 1986, environmental management systems, environmental management plans, annual environmental reporting, national pollutant inventory (NPI) reporting, national greenhouse and energy reporting (NGERs), water quality analysis and geographic information systems (GIS).  Her recent project experience includes the development of mining proposals, WAA support documents, annual environmental reports, environmental management system plans, environmental management plans, Department of Environment Regulation prescribed premises licence and registration applications, NPI and NGERs reporting, water quality data management and analysis, EPBC Referrals, Section 45C applications, and GIS databases and associated procedures. Jessica is currently assisting KASA’s clients including Harvey Industries Group Pty Ltd, Griffin Coal Mining Company, Lynas Corporation Limited, Sinosteel Midwest Corporation Limited, Northern Minerals and Bluewaters Power. Jessica is committed to efficiently providing high quality, professional deliverables to clients.

Lisa Fraser

Lisa is KASA’s Financial Controller, and is responsible for the integrity of company financial information, ensuring preparation and delivery of statutory reporting; relevant review and analysis of operating results in relation to costs, budget and performances to management. Previously Lisa has worked as Claims Team Leader for NRMA Insurance, Claims Consultant at NCUIS and Western QBE, Assistant to the General Manager of a materials handling company where she provided training, administrative and accounting support. Lisa’s experience has given her the tools to provide thorough yet friendly service, both internally and externally. Lisa has been part of the Kasa team since 2006.

Tenille Stumpers

As Office Manager Tenille is responsible for the day to day administrative duties involved in running the KASA Consulting head office, including accounts payable and receivable, travel arrangements and general office duties. Tenille has an extensive secretarial and administrative background with various senior positions throughout her career prior to joining KASA Consulting, including Executive Assistant to CEO and Chairman, Tourism Western Australia for many years. Tenille has been part of the KASA team since 2010.
