ThinkSafe Small Business Assistance Program
FREE SAFETY AND HEALTH ADVICE AND/OR SEMINARS FOR SMALL BUSINESS
Available to all small businesses (20 or less full time equivalent
employees) provided by an independent consultant (not Worksafe WA)
INDIVIDUAL BUSINESS CONSULTATION
Your business can have a visit by one of our OSH specialists to
provide you with safety and health information, conduct a workplace
assessment and prepare a safety action plan.
The service is for 3 hours which includes writing the action plan
for you to follow
12 months after the initial visit or if you have had a visit before
you are entitled to a follow up consultation to see how you’re
progressing in implementing your safety action plan.

GROUP CONSULTATION
A group of small businesses (between 2 and 5) at one time can have
one session delivered at one of the participant’s places of
work. The consultant will conduct a risk assessment and provide
the host small business with a safety and action plan specific to
their workplace
This group consultation must be Pre-arranged between WorkSafe and
KASA Consulting.

TELEPHONE CONSULTATION
This assessment is done over the phone for businesses in remote
locations. The consultant can provide a one session safety
assessment (a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 2 hours) to a
small business.
This group consultation must be Pre-arranged between WorkSafe and
KASA Consulting
The consultant will develop a safety action plan for the business

OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH SEMINAR
If you are a member of industry association, group training/
seminars are available. They can be held at one members place of
work or at an alternative location.
Seminars / training can be half or full day, whatever suits the
people attending. The only requirement for these training sessions/
seminars is that it provides information related to technical and
practical knowledge on occupational health and safety tailored to
suit the target industry.
This training does not have to be accredited under any training
package.
Examples of training might be – aspects of duty of care,
manual handling, chemicals, safety plans, developing checklists
,contractor management, establishing safety committees, issue
resolution etc.
